Sajjad Hussain appointed interim CEO
Sajjad Hussain has been appointed as interim CEO of Westmoreland Supported Housing Association. Sajjad has more than 25 years’ experience in the social housing sector, during which time he has spent 14 years as Chief Executive and Deputy Chief Executive of various organisations. These roles have included managing change, developing group structures, governance review and restructures, development of financial viability plans and strategic development including regulatory review/compliance and operational management.
He has also held board member roles for housing associations, local authority strategic partnerships board and various community and charitable organisations.
He replaces Yvonne Lee who held the position of interim CEO for 12 months. She will take up a new role as the association’s Commercial Director.
Working closely with the Regulator
The Regulator of Social Housing has informed Westmoreland Supported Housing Association that it has been placed on the gradings under review list. This means an investigation will be carried out by the Regulator.
We are aware of issues and are confident that we have the correct plan in place to resolve these matters. We are working closely with the Regulator and will deal appropriately with any recommendations made as part of the investigation.
